The most common way to say sorry in Hakka is “paiˇ se (敗勢)” or “siidˋ liˊ(失禮).” Other than being used to apologize when one did something wrong, the two phrases also can be used in the scenario when people did nothing wrong, but they are embarrassed for causing trouble to others.
