Deputy Minister Chou stated that in recent years, HAC has proactively promoted Hakka education among schools and teachers. In 2022, 5 schools (including preschools) and 11 educators across Taiwan were awarded for their efforts in promoting Hakka education, serving as examples to follow. It is hoped that by sharing success stories and exchanging thoughts, we can all contribute to preserving the Hakka.
The Taichung Municipal Taichung First Senior High School was one of the recognized schools in 2022. Regarded as a springboard to the best universities, it encouraged students to keep the legacy of their language alive by designing fun Hakka courses implemented as extracurricular activities. Elementary schools, on the other hand, developed local Hakka courses by making the Hakka part of daily life at school and integrating it into the 12-Year Basic Education curriculum. For preschools, Hakka is taught from an early age through immersive themed learning activities. These exemplary schools shine a light on the future of Hakka education by harnessing teaching expertise to pioneer the future of our mother tongue.

To further emphasize HAC's mission of reinvigorating the Hakka, the 2023 Hakka Education Forum followed immediately after the award ceremony. On the first day, Sifo Lakaw, President of the Pipalofasaran to Sowal no Pangcah/'Amis (Taiwan Association for the Sustainable Development of the Pangcah/Amis Language), was invited to give a speech on the theme "Promoting Mother Language Reinvigoration from Home and the Community to Schools". Then, awardee institutions and individuals shared their experience on promotion of the Hakka in cities and Hakka villages. On the second day, Carys Humphreys, a native of Wales and missionary of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan, spoke about her personal experience of the "Policy and Practice for Welsh Language Revitalization". Three topics were further planned for local language scholars and frontline educators to discuss. It is hoped that taking a leaf from the book of other local language promoters can help us adopt more diversified approaches to developing the Hakka.
